Artists UR NEW YORK Live Painting of NEMO Chair Event for Art Basel Miami
POP International Galleries’ Resident Artists
Piece to Benefit Children’s Bereavement Center
New York, NY (October 1, 2012) – UR New York, graffiti artist collaboration, will be hosting a live painting event at POP International Gallery, where they are currently resident artists. On October 3rd, UR New York will complete the transformation of the NEMO Armchair by Fabio Novembre, donated by Driade and Anima Domus, with their cutting-edge urban style. The chair will be raffled off on December 4th at Art Basel Miami during an exclusive event “Facing the Future” with all proceeds benefitting the Children’s Bereavement Center.
UR New York’s commitment to continuously create innovative urban inspired art is stronger than ever as they work to give back to the youth and community. The inspiration from their art is infectious and their extraordinary level of talent is undeniable.
“For us it’s about the kids and giving them something that we never had. Art isn’t about money and fame; it’s about inspiring and connecting with people. That’s why we do it,” said SKI (Fernando Romero). “We turned our passion into our future, we want kids to know they can do it too” said 2ESAE (Mike Baca).
The artists head to Miami for Art Basel in early December and will be making several appearances on behalf of POP International Galleries and Children’s Bereavement Center.
