Jeff Jaffe Founder/Owner

I came to the USA after leaving the then brutal apartheid regime of South Africa in 1980. After earning an MFA in sculpture from the Cranbrook Academy of Art near Detroit, I set up a studio and eventually settled in New York City, where I have worked in the visual arts since then. Straddling the art world, both as an artist and as a gallerist, for over two decades now, I believe I have developed an unusually keen understanding of what art collectors really want and need. Through the establishment of POP International Galleries in New York City, the great people who work here and the artists we represent, we indeed have created the perfect vehicle to address those needs.

Over the years, one thing has remained constant...I have come to genuinely understand and appreciate the nature of how we earn our livings in the gallery business. While fun, enlightening and rewarding, it's an immensely unique privilege. Through the relationships we forge and the reputations we build, the collections we help to grow, tend to remain in people's homes for many years...sometimes even generations. What we do as adds value and substance to people's lives in both subtle and profound ways. I am convinced that as families grow, so should their art collections! This, I believe, is what all good art dealers should strive for, and in turn, we should be most thankful when we achieve it!

As POP is now well into its second decade of being in business, I am humbled and deeply grateful for the unwavering loyalty and continued support of our collectors and friends the world over. I am also very appreciative for the devotion and hard work of my amazing staff, but more than anything, I am filled with gratitude for the enduring support and love of my family.

Lauren Wagner Assistant Director

I come to Pop International Galleries with almost a decade of experience working in the visual arts. As the Director of Exhibitions at The Bakehouse, a well known artist complex in Miami, I had the honor to work directly with over 60 of the city’s most talented artists. My deep interest in pop and urban art, along with my extensive curatorial experience at Britto Central, have provided me with a unique ability and sensitivity to help build intelligent collections for my clients. I am genuinely excited to be using my abilities at Pop International Galleries to help all types of collectors, both emerging and established, to create and shape collections that undoubtedly will be cherished for years to come, as well as assist with the overall running and growth of Pop.

Scott Weiner Consultant

Experience has shown me that the more clients know about an artist, a work of art and the process of art making, the greater their level of appreciation becomes. It has always been my pleasure, as a consultant, to be a collector's conduit into the art world. I get tremendous satisfaction facilitating a match between clients and a work of art that, on some level, moved them.

Allan Schneider Controller/Bookkeeper

I have been with Pop International Galleries for over a decade and work hard to ensure that our artists, vendors and suppliers are all well attended to. Keeping track of our vast inventory, invoicing and billing and generally making sure that things are well taken care of behind the scenes is very important to me. I truly enjoy and take my job very seriously.

Pedro Alvarado Logistics/Display Manager

My work as the Logistics and Display Manager at Pop is filled with many challenges. Whether it's making sure that the gallery is hung beautifully, the backroom is properly organized or your art is framed perfectly, every day brings something new! I also take a lot of pride in getting your art to you - across town or across the ocean. I am famous for my crates and it gives me great satisfaction to know that your art has made it to its destination safely.
